Black Angus XL in Cologne

This was our first, but definitely not the last time in the Black Angus XL. Thanks again to André for the good service and the recommendation. It was very delicious! 5 out of 5 stars are absolutely justified.

A really nice restaurant. We were there today and ordered the Royal platter for 2 people, which was definitely justified for the price! Everything was beautifully presented, the service was very friendly and courteous. We felt very comfortable and will definitely come back for a long time the next time we visit Cologne. best regards

Outstanding service , high quality meat and fair price, in case you are looking for a short review. If you want more details, the place is really amazing and surprised me from the start when feeling a bit cold I asked a table near the fire (I thought it would be difficult as in a Saturday , a single person in a table to 4 near the fire would be impossible). Sitting near the fire, Andre, the waiter serving my table was not only a gentleman but also give me the best choices according to the descriptions I give him. The meat was incredible , beer in the right temperature and even having my solo journey there, hearing some musics in my AirPods, they passed by from time to time asking if I want something more. I felt like home. I’m sorry I didn’t take pictures of the meal. Next time for sure as it was not only beautiful but delicious. I recommend also if you are looking for a romantic place. Overall, a satisfactory one. The food was cold and they should do something about the service. The gentleman in front of the restaurant, whose job is to lure people into the restaurant, would be needed more urgently in the restaurant!

Very good food and excellent service The quality of the food (starter platter, burger and steak) was very good, the cooking point of the steak (medium) was optimal. The price-performance ratio fully convinced us. The service deserves particular mention: the waitress was very attentive and catered to all of the guests' needs.

The steak was perfect. Also great in taste. Side dishes and dessert very tasty. I can really recommend you guys.

We went to eat there spontaneously today. We decided to do it because we weren't guided in penetratingly in front of the door. The food was really tasty and the staff friendly. A bit confused - we had to ask 2 times for the bill and were asked 3 times whether we want to pay in cash or by card .... There was currently no collection of guest data🤔 I can really recommend food!

Indeed, this restaurant has the potential to become my next favorite. The restaurant is really very tastefully decorated. No cheap decoration, but there was a lot of really nice color coordinated with each other. The staff is always very hard-working and always polite! It totally blew us away. Good value for money.

Have been travelling through Germany for the last 2 weeks and this was the best Steak dinner we have had. The quality of the meat is super and it was cooked to perfection.

We went to this steakhouse for the first time yesterday. Food was delicious. My husband and I will be back. Great atmosphere and our service staff was very friendly.

Spending one September weekend in Cologne, I was tempted by a steak here based on the amount of positive comments, but unfortunately not the best experience. It's great that in addition to the type of steak, you can also choose its size. Nevertheless, the price, regardless of the size, is equally high. The greater the surprise that the prices were for the meat itself, and the additives were just as expensive. I ordered a tenderloin and my partner was ribeye, both medium. The steaks were not bad, but for the price I expected the meat to be perfect and it was just right. We also ordered mushroom sauce. Unfortunately, we were brought another one and it took a while to replace it with the right one. Exchanging, comrade, surprise that we tried a wrong sauce. Well, we discovered the mistake just trying it. I believe that an important element of the restaurant is ... the toilet. In this place I found a toilet in need of major renovation and, above all, cleaning. I'm afraid to think about the condition of the kitchen. Summarizing. Triumph of form over content. Meat correct and way too expensive. Ah, when paying, the waiter asked for a tip: D I wonder how much he is paid.

Very tasty and good quality food. Service was very attentive. When you arrive you are greeted in a super friendly manner and accompanied to your table. Steak grilled to perfection .... TOP !!! The desserts are also unbeatable. Many thanks to the team ... we'd love to come back

If you want to go for a great steak this is the place to go. The best fillet steak I had in a long time. Grilled to perfection. The waiter was so nice and friendly.

We ordered rump steak and wine and we are extremely satisfied. The steaks were cooked just right and the side dishes were delicious too. We were served perfectly by Mr Rebaz the entire time. The food was delicious, the staff were friendly. Unfortunately we had to wait a little longer. And the map is a little complicated. But we liked being there, seldom ate steaks that good. We'd love to come back.

Great food and staff

I have been to much better steak restaurants that was way cheaper. The french fries and the sauce was bought and the red wine was way to warm - and why the hell did the waiter leave the cork at our table? The sittings was to close in these COVID-19 times. We ended up paying 134 EUR for 3 steaks, some side dishes, a bottle of wine, 2 small beers and a large soda - way too much! Oh - and the toilet was broken!

Good food and service. One thing though was the price which was a bit on the high side, but still had a great time.

This restaurant made a good impression from the outside and the menu also offered a large selection. The staff was very nice and attentive. The ambience was also cozy and pleasant. There was a large selection of dishes and the steaks tasted really great. Overall, we were very satisfied and can recommend a visit.

One of the best in town if you are looking for a nice steak. Food was amazing and steak temperatures perfectly maintained. Great ambience and definitely very nice stuff. The atmosphere is inside is lovely and we had a great time. We will definitely be back. I recommend reserving ahead for weekends.

The meat indeed is incredible-so tender and yummy. Unfortunately, the steak was cooked to much (medium instead of medium rare) and even though staff is friendly, you do not see them around a lot which makes a low service level and is the reason for the three stars. If you only look for a good piece of meat and if money is not a great deal, I would still recommend this place.
